Being a parent is all about the joy of getting to see what kind of kid your child grows up to be. Will they be funny like you, or earnest like your partner, or a whole new kind of personality that will throw you both for a loop? What kind of interests will they develop- will they be interested in the arts or in sports or in both like some kind of Troy Bolton? Will they be shy or outgoing and what kinds of friends will they pick up along the way? Are they going to be… chill? These are all the risks you assume when you become a parent.

You have to be ready for every case scenario, since you can't choose what kind of kid you're going to sire. You probably guess that they'll be a little something like you and a little something like their other parent, but you can't be sure.
